WHAT IS THE ART CONSORTIUM
A Consortium is defined as an association, typically of several business companies.
Postmark LaFollette is starting an Art Consortium to host several artists, artisans, crafters and authors as well as musicians who have CD's to have the opportunity to showcase their handmade/handcrafted goods and sell them in one space.  Postmark LaFollette is located at 119 S Tennessee Avenue, LaFollette, TN, 37766.
The goods include, wood products, knitted and crocheted items, handmade musical instruments, purses and totes, jewelry, rag rugs, painted signs and original works of art, etc, etc, and Christmas will always have a spot.
We have converted the former Postmasters Office to become our Shop.  The ultimate goal is to eventually have a true Art Co-op where the members will share in the full operation of the Shop.

HOW DO I BECOME PART OF THE ART CONSORTIUM?
All goods must be handmade or hand crafted. Authors must have original works printed.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
1.  The important part is that there is no fee to showcase your goods.  We recommend that there is a 15% donation to Postmark Co-Op.   Plus any charge sales through our square will also be charged the finance charge which is generally less than 3%.  The funds are managed through a Square system and checks are written quarterly for each vendor, minus the 15% donation to the Consortium and the finance charges.  The checks can be picked up or mailed.
2.  Those who participate do not have to man the shop, Postmark will have a staffing to do the selling.  We may, at time ask for volunteers for specific times, but those will be planned well in advance.
Those who participate will have their goods showcased in the Co-Op shop.  All goods must have a price tag and your name or initials on the tag.
3.  You must fill out the Arts & Crafts information sheet with full contact information as well as all inventory you are brining to the Co-Op filled out.  This form is at the bottom of this page.  Print it out and fill it in and bring your goods to the 119 S Tennessee Avenue address on one of the days we are open.  We prefer you call Elaine Schatzline-Behr, Managing Director of Postmark LaFollette at 423-871-0455 to set upan appointment time to drop off your goods.
WHAT ARE OUR GOALS
1.  Provide economic development within the arts community in Campbell County.
2.  Develop business growth for the individual artisan as well as Postmark LaFollette.   Work with Marketing using social media.  Work with financial advisors on business opportunities for the home business.  Build an incubator for the home business.
3.   Develop a place for community enhancement by growing a group of local artisans to develop a true Co-op of artisans to eventually be the staff behind the shop and all share in the growth of the Co-op.
4.  Have First Friday's where we have music and the public is invited to come in and meet the artisans.
5.  Have frequent meetings among the artisans to gather and put their ideas to the test within the Shop.
